In the suburbs of Birmingham and just a mile away from the Whistle Stop Café, made famous in the book (and later the movie) Fried Green Tomatoes, our Irondale store opened in 2005 and was the first store to combine the two names Southeastern Salvage Home Emporium.
If you love the shabby chic style of the Whistle Stop Café in the film, you can find a lot of the same type of décor in our store. Our store also has classic, transitional, contemporary, eclectic, and vintage styles. You could say, we have a little bit of everything.
We pride ourselves at finding unique furnishings, at great prices. And that includes our building materials too.
